Come Shooting With Us, Mr. Obama

So the election is over and what's done is done. No sense hemming and hawing about it. Mitt got his ass handed to him and that's all there is to it. Time to suck it up and move on.

Personally, and as far as my love of all things shooting goes, I would like to extend a friendly hand over to Mr. Obama and a selection of his most anti-gun legislature representatives… not for anything political. Not for any wheeling and dealing. Not for any sort of proving evidence one way or another. No, I want Mr. President and company to come out for a relaxing, yet exciting day of shooting like the ones I have with friends and family.

I'll even go so far as to say that I'm not looking to change anyones mind about guns and shooting as a sport. What my goal on that day would be, is to show everyone involved that shooting can be challenging, educational, helps focus and concentration, develops patience, builds confidence and offers immediate gratification. There is no bias toward men or women, youth-boys or girls. Promotes an understanding of rules and regulations. And as goes without saying–a hell of a lot of fun.

So, Mr. President, the invitation remains open. My range or one of your choice, bullets and lunch are on me.

This Jew Shoots Guns. Guns in a population are not about hurting or getting hurt. The more leaders in this nation that understand that, the less controversial this will be.

You may not get to 1600 Pennsylvania, but every year here in MA there is a shooting event for elected officials. GOAL, Gun Owners’ Action League — one of the 2A advocacy groups here in MA — invites all members of state & local government for a fun shoot. Tip O’Neil was right . . . all politics are local. So while I applaud you making the invitation, I suggest you connect with your local / regional / NJ state firearms advocacy groups and start inviting your local elected officials for an afternoon of recoil therapy. You just might be surprised by the turnout.
Good luck. Stay safe and shoot straight.
    Happy Thanksgiving . . .
